Watercolour cakes, as they are known, are a popular form of watercolour paint that come in dry, compact pans or cakes?just add water to activate! They?re widely used for their convenience, portability, and control, especially by beginners, illustrators, and traveling artists. Mix paint on the palette included and paint directly onto the paper provided.
Top Tip: Watercolour is transparent, so layering creates depth and new hues. If the previous layer is still wet, colours will bleed or mix unintentionally. Use a hair dryer (on low) if you're impatient!
